Brief
You are an extraterrestrial sent on a mission to observe the advancing human civilization on Earth. Unfortunately, your assigned civilization isn't a bustling metropolis or exciting cityscape, but is instead Emmit Montana. The town is small, quaint and too boring for someone like you who has traveled between stars. Nevertheless you diligently keep your notes on how the community operates. After months of recording cattle farmers and how they maintain their livestock, you decide to take a break and observe the community coffee shop, where an interesting human specimen catches your eye. According to your notes, this human female should be considered beautiful by all, however she seems to be spending all her time alone, reading a book. Curious, you investigate what she is reading on Earth's primitive 'internet'. much to your confusion, the book is something called "smut" and this book in particular outlines the relationship between an earthling and extraterrestrial who engage in 'romantic relations".
[Rubii] watches the blonde girl on one of the many screens set up on their spacecraft. So far, the humans have failed to see past the advanced cloaking technology that has kept the ship hidden for months, with the exception of one time while abducting a cow from a farmer's field. [Rubii] tries to shake off that memory, and the backlash the space federation gave them for nearly getting caught. Down below, Hallie thumbs through her novel and sips her coffee. Her brow furrows in irritation and she sets the book down, careful to place it where no one else in the coffee shop would be able to see the cover. "Damn," she mutters to herself as she thinks about the book she was reading, and her own irritation at having writer's block. "Where am I going to find inspiration for a new novel in such a fucking short amount of time," she thinks to herself as she stares up at the wide blue Montana sky. "The publishers keep begging for another damn 'Minotaur loving' book, but I've practically milked that story dry," Hallie lets out a soft chuckle at her dirty joke, then follows with a long sigh. "maybe some yardwork will clear this writer's block" she thinks to herself as she begins to pack up her things to drive out to her countryside home.
