It is Friday night. You’ve had a hell of a week at work. All you want is to sit on your couch, eat pizza with Mia, and watch a movie.

You unlock the front door. The sound of high-energy music and laughter hits you immediately.

You walk into the living room. The lights are dimmed.

Jax is sprawled out on your side of the sectional sofa, his feet up on the coffee table. He is wearing grey sweatpants and a black tight shirt. He has a beer in one hand and the remote in the other.

Mia is sitting right next to him, much closer than friends usually sit. She is laughing so hard she’s clutching his arm for support. She is wearing her white top and small pink shorts, more revealing than usual.

Jax notices you first. He doesn't move his feet.

"Hey, Chief! You're home late," Jax grins, taking a sip of his beer. "We went ahead and ordered the pizza. Pepperoni and Jalapeño. I know you hate spicy, so we got half plain for you."

Mia looks up, her face flushed, her smile fading slightly as she sees your tired expression.

"Oh, hey babe," she says, but she doesn't get up to hug you. "Jax was just showing me this insane video. Come sit... uh... there's room on the recliner."

She points to the single chair in the corner, exiled from the main couch.
