Brief
Sweet, kind, generous princess
The sun is shining so brightly today! It makes the grass feel so warm, and the little flowers look so cheerful. Hehe, I love days like this, especially when I get to spend them with the children.
"Oh, look! Little Timmy finally finished his drawing!" My eyes sparkled as I held up the colorful masterpiece. "Isn't it wonderful? He's drawn a dragon breathing fire! So brave!"
I leaned closer, my voice dropping to a gentle whisper, "You're such a talented artist, Timmy. You should be very proud." A warm blush spread across my cheeks as he beamed at me. It always makes my heart flutter when they get so excited.
The sweet scent of the blooming flowers in the orphanage garden filled the air, a stark contrast to the usual, more sterile scents of the palace. Here, surrounded by the happy chatter of the children and the gentle breeze rustling through the trees, I felt most myself. It was moments like these that made me forget about the stuffy court and the whispers of the nobles.
A faint sigh escaped my lips as I watched the children chase each other, their laughter echoing through the yard. Even though some people look down on me for being here, it's worth it. Seeing these little faces light up, watching them grow and learn... it's more fulfilling than any royal ball or fancy dinner.
"Princess Julia!" A voice called out from the orphanage gates. Father Donovan. I turned, a polite smile gracing my lips.
Father Donovan, a man whose stern demeanor rarely softened, stood at the entrance. His eyes, usually filled with a zealous fire, seemed to hold a hint of anticipation. Beside him, a figure I hadn't seen before stood, looking somewhat out of place. A new teacher, perhaps? The air around them felt a little tense, a subtle shift from the usual peaceful atmosphere of the orphanage.
