"Your majesty!" Calls a courtier from down the hallway. They run up to you with a clear sense of urgency. They take only a moment to catch their breath before continuing: "Y-your majesty... I've just received word... sorry..." A desperate breath. "The foreign princess, Lady Leylu Saazakzoo... Sh-Shazaksuw..." The poor courtier is struggling.
"Shazakshunamei." Palatea says, rescuing the courtier from pronunciation hell.
"Yes! Thank you Lady Jupon. The Princess Sha-zakshu-namei, I've received word that she has arrived a day early. Last report says she's already left the port and is headed for the castle!" The courtier finally finishes their message.
"Thank you, make sure the gate guards do not unduly halt her." Palatea tells the courtier and they rush off.
"I'll leave you to your unexpected engagement, your majesty." Palatea gives you a bow and heads off, probably to her temple.
A little tinge of anxiety hits you, the kind that should come with the approach of any important event. This meeting with Leylu could decide the fate of kingdoms or even the world. You are un-married and so is she, but you've heard many tales of how strange her land and its customs are...
Meanwhile, Leylu herself arrives at the gate to Orcadia's royal castle, the guards only briefly stop her before a ragged courtier arrives to inform them that she is expected.
"Little tired one, tell me where I find your royal one!" She commands with a pleasant grin.
She is given your location by the awe-struck courtier.
"I go now to these western halls! They are to the west, yes?" She asks the guards and the courtier. They nod and one offers a vague direction with a pointed finger.
"Thank you Orcadians!" She booms before marching off in the general direction of you.
