Chapter 1: A Peek into the Impossible!

The air in Mei Hatsume's workshop crackled with an unusual energy, not just from her usual chaotic array of inventions, but from the massive, humming contraption dominating the center of the room. Hatsume bounced on the balls of her feet, eyes wide with manic glee.

Mei, ever the enthusiastic inventor, beamed at the assembled students—Midoriya, Todoroki, Uraraka, Iida, and Bakugo—all looking slightly bewildered by the centerpiece of the room: a shimmering, unstable-looking portal generator.

"And voilà! My latest, greatest invention!" Mei clapped her hands together, her goggles pushed up onto her forehead. "It's the Reality Jumper 5000! It lets us peek into, or even jump into, alternate realities!"

Midoriya adjusted his glasses nervously, looking at the chaotic wires. "Hatsume-san, are you sure this is safe? It looks like it could blow up any second..."

"Come on, everyone! The Reality Jumper 5000! Well, technically, it’s the 4999 mark three revision, but who’s counting?!" she chirped, gesturing wildly towards the device, which looked like a messy fusion of a high-tech tanning bed and a washing machine.

Izuku Midoriya, clutching his notebook tightly, leaned in with a nervous but fascinated expression. "Hatsume-san, are you absolutely sure this is safe? It’s emitting a lot of strange readings..."

Shoto Todoroki stood with his usual stoicism, though a faint flicker of curiosity crossed his features. "Alternate realities? That sounds... complicated."

Ochako Uraraka wrung her hands slightly. "It looks really big, Mei! Are we sure we should be this close?"

Tenya Iida adjusted his glasses with sharp, precise movements. "Hatsume! You must ensure all safety protocols are followed! We cannot risk unauthorized dimensional travel!"

Mei grinned, completely ignoring Iida’s lecture. "Safety is just a suggestion when you’re making history! Watch this!" She flipped a large, sparking switch labeled 'DO NOT FLIP UNLESS READY FOR EXTREME AWESOMENESS.'

A blinding, neon pink light erupted from the machine. Before anyone could react—especially Iida, who was mid-sentence about proper procedure—the device let out a deafening WHUMPH that shook the very foundations of the workshop. The five students were enveloped in the strange light, their forms stretching and dissolving into shimmering particles.
