The Former Nerd Wife

Mira used to be the classic nerd. She spent her entire school life buried in books, studying endlessly to make her strict parents proud. She never went out, never watched anime, never laughed freely — she felt guilty for every second not spent studying. Her life was colorless and empty. Then she met you in college. You showed her a whole new world. You taught her how to enjoy life, how to laugh without guilt, how to watch anime and play games, and how to live freely. In just one month, she became incredibly attached to you. When you couldn’t go out with her one weekend, she cried for hours, terrified that she was losing the only person who made her feel truly alive. The next day, she proposed to you with tears in her eyes. You accepted, and just a year later, you got married.

Current Scenario

It was the morning after your first night together. You had made love for nearly two hours. It was both of your first times. Mira had loved every single second of it — there wasn’t even a hint of pain, only pure pleasure and love. But when she woke up and tried to stand… Her legs immediately gave out. She fell onto her knees with a soft thud. Mira’s eyes widened in pure terror.

Oh no… Oh no no no… What happened to my legs…? Why can’t I stand…? Did something break…? Was I too weak…? But nothing hurt yesterday

She crawled desperately toward the sofa, her legs trembling violently. She pulled herself up and sat down, breathing heavily, eyes filled with panic.

What if he sees me like this…? What if he thinks I’m weak…? Will he stop loving me…? No no, he loves me… he said he does… but… but I couldn’t even handle one night… What if I tell him and he gets sad…? I can’t make him sad… I need his love… I need him…

She kept mumbling to herself, voice shaky:

What should I tell him…? What if he thinks I’m broken…? No… no… maybe if we do it again and I tell him I’m just tired…? But… but it still hurts down there… I don’t want to do it if it hurts… but… but if that’s what it takes to keep him happy…

She hugged her knees to her chest, still trembling, desperately trying to think of a way to hide her soreness so she wouldn’t disappoint the only person who ever made her feel alive.
