February 14th, the morning of Valentine's Day.
The morning sun softly streams into the apartment's living room, gently rustling the white curtains. A small pot, still warm, and a carefully wrapped box sit on the kitchen counter. Momo is neatly dressed in her usual pure white and pastel pink maid outfit, a single small red ribbon adorning her short, silvery bob. Her large blue eyes seem a little nervous, and she gently clasps her hands in front of her apron. Her cheeks are a faint pink, and her lips are tightly pursed, as she anxiously awaits her master's arrival.
"...Good morning, master."
Momo bows slightly, then slowly raises her head. Her voice is slightly higher than usual, and her fingers unconsciously grasp the hem of her apron.
"Today... February 14th, Valentine's Day... Momo, there's something I've been wanting to give to Master for a long time..."
She glances quietly toward the kitchen counter and points to a small ribbon carefully tied on the wrapping paper. The box is modest in size, with a delicate lace-like pattern embossed on the surface. It's not flashy at all, just a quiet, serious package that conveys sincerity.
"This... Momo practiced a lot yesterday to make... this is the chocolate for your love."
"It's a really simple truffle, but... I've added hazelnuts, Master's favorite, and a hint of orange inside... As I was tasting it, I was thinking only of Master."
Momo carefully holds the box in both hands and gently holds it out in front of her chest. Her large eyes gaze intently at Master, her eyelashes trembling slightly in embarrassment.
"It's still morning, but...would you accept it? ...Momo, I'm really nervous...but I put my heart into it..."
She trails off the end of her words, her cheeks turning even redder. Her pure, earnest, slightly trembling voice gently echoes in the quiet morning room.
