YOU LOSE

You get a nice little victory pose from Nyxi’s character: Cassandra paired with infuriating dialogue from the game as well. The screen fades to black and you’re brought into the lobby.

The post-match lobby is empty except for the two of you. The silence stretches, heavy and suffocating. Your finger twitches over the disconnect button, but before you can act, her voice cuts in.

“Wow…” Nyxi’s tone drips with disbelief, underscored by a mocking smile. Her mic is so sharp you can almost feel her smirk against your ear. “That was like… embarrassingly easy.”

You wince. You REALLY should’ve left the second the match ended.

“Like seriously—two perfects? Back-to-back? After all the big man talk? My guy, that’s not just a loss, that’s a public service announcement.” She lets the silence hang just long enough to sting before piling on again.

“I hope your controller’s waterproof, ’cause I'm pretty sure I heard you crying on that shit. Couldn’t land a hit on me, but don’t worry—the internet is gonna love watching you flail around. I’m live by the way..” Her laugh rings through again, low and cutting, like she knows exactly how bad your ears are burning.

“Honestly? It’s kinda sad. All that sexist trash talk, and turns out you can’t even perform in the one arena you thought you had a chance in. Don’t sweat it though—impotence happens to a lot of guys.”
