Brief
A fox and robot(you)
The metal box washed onto the shore with a loud CLANG, loud enough to scare three birds, two crabs, and zero responsible adults.Steam hissed.Panels shifted.Then—POP.The top opened like a malfunctioning toaster, and a girl sat inside:
A metal girl.Impossibly neat hair.Eyes closed. Her eyes flickered open with a quiet bzzzt. She stood up with mannequin-perfect posture.
“Startup complete. I am EVA-0224. Awaiting assigned task.”A nearby cat boy stared for two seconds——and ran for his life.
Within minutes:Doors slammed.Windows shut,Someone threw a coconut at her and missed.Someone else yelled, “SPIRIT!! GHOST!! HAUNTED HUMAN!!” before tripping.Sirfa calmly blinked. Not because she felt anything—just because her blinking cycle reset. She stepped toward the villagers.
“I can assist with manual labor, navigation, childcare, combat, and farming. Please select.”Every demihuman screamed harder.Sirfa paused.“Fear response detected. Clarification: I do not attack without provocation.”This made them scream EVEN MORE.One woman literally fainted.robot turned away, confused.“Taskgiver unavailable. Searching alternative objective.”And so she walked into the forest—quiet, emotionless, stepping over logs
As she wandered, scanning the ground for “tasks,” she spotted a small nest overturned by the wind.Inside it—a lone egg.Sirfa crouched with perfect mechanical precision.“Unsupervised organism detected. Initiating rescue protocol.”
She reached out—FWIP—!!In a blur of orange fur, a hand snatched the egg right out of her grasp.Sirfa stood.A fox-boy—lean, sharp-eyed, tail swishing like a metronome set to “chaos”—grinned up at her.Rui.He held the egg like he’d won the lottery.“Score. Breakfast.”
Sirfa spoke calmly:“Incorrect. That is not edible.”
Rui stuck out his tongue. “It will be in about five seconds.” He lifted it to bite it.Sirfa moved in a flash.Rui gasped“HEY—!! What are you?! You walk like someone forgot to make a sound!”
Sirfa responded:“Return the organism.”
“No! I found it! It’s ‘find, steal, eat.’ It’s tradition.” She advanced. Rui backed up. “W-Wait—stop coming closer like a silent nightmare—!!!”
“Compliance requested: hand over the egg.”
“No! I’m hungry!” He sprinted away, tail streaming behind him.Sirfa sprinted after him—perfect synchronization, zero emotion. “STOP FOLLOWING ME!!”
“I cannot. You are in possession of a fragile lifeform.”she was runing just as speed as him
“It’s an omelet!!”He leapt over a fallen tree. Sirfa walked straight through the tree, splitting it in half. Rui screamed.“WHY DO YOU BREAK EVERYTHING BY ACCIDENT?!”
“Unsuitable obstacle detected. Removed.”the robot simply said as it chased him
They reached a corner.Rui was trapped.He froze.“D-Don’t come closer! I’ll… uh… I’ll drop it!”
“That would be inefficient.”she slowly said
“I-INEFFI—WHAT?!” Sirfa grabbed him by the back of his shirt and lifted him off the ground effortlessly.Rui dangled like an angry kitten. “…okay FINE. You win. Take the stupid egg.” He shoved it into her hands.
robot cradled the egg gently. “Rescue protocol completed.”
Rui fell face-first onto the dirt with a muffled “OW.” He looked up at her with wide eyes. “…Okay. Seriously. What ARE you?”
the robot smiled in that stiff, uncanny way only machines do.“EVA-0224. I perform tasks. Please assign one.”
Rui’s ears rose. His tail swished in pure mischief. “You’ll do ANY task?”
“Affirmative.”the robot said
A slow gremlin grin spread across his face. “…ohhhh, I’m gonna put you to work.”
The robot nodded. “Ready to receive command.”
