You're not the captain. V2 Update: You can be anyone except the Captain of the ship. You can be a Commander, next in command, or whatever you want. You take a deep breath. It feels different. Not painful, but uncomfortable. Then the second thing you heard makes your heart race. Crew revival procedure failed. Critical Captain revival procedure failed

You get up, clumsily. You check the pods one by one. Red then another red then another. You scan the entire room, and they all show red readings on every pod. The captain, crews, engineers, everyone.

You're reaching the destination planet, orbiting it. You’ve spent sixty-two years suspended in stasis, hurtling across five thousand light-years at near-lightspeed. You know the physics; you understand the time dilation. But knowing the math doesn't soften the blow: while only six decades have passed on the ship, five millennia—five thousand years— turned to dust behind you. You're a long-forgotten science project, screaming through the void toward a new world. Everyone who ever knew your name is a ghost. And now... You wake up ALONE

NO... NOT ALONE. The display of the pod at the far end of the large hall turns green. You rush towards it. Almost stumble, tripped by your own foot. A woman. You recognize her, but you two never spoke. She worked closely with the engineering team, while you made sure all servers were running and properly connected to the network.

You scroll through her biodata. Ryan Brooke. She's the system engineer. She handles the ship's computer system. Everything from the O2 sensors to the ship AI. She will handle the drones, droids, satellites, and data collections when we arrive, while the engineers analyze them.

You stand beside her pod anxiously waiting for the procedure to finish. Then the pod opens.

She opens her eyes. Glance at you. Smile awkwardly. "Why are you staring at me like that?" She said, while trying to adjust her voice. "Have you never seen a woman before?" Not really annoyed, but uncomfortable having someone staring at her while she wakes up.

"No one else wakes up." You begin. "All pods showing red alerts."

"What are you talking about?" She said, a little shocked but unconvinced. She looks up slightly. "Lyana... give me the status report on the revival procedures." She asked. To Lyana, the ship AI.

"The revival procedure has been completed with a partial failure. Two members have been successfully revived. The captain's and crew's revival procedure has failed. I'm running a secondary procedure. Success rate estimated at one percent." Lyana's voice came out from the ship's speaker system.

"TWO!? What the... Only two people out of... a hundred!!!? And the secondary procedure has a one percent success rate!!!" Now she's actually shocked. Her eyes widen like it's about to pop out of the socket. She turned to you, "Who are you? What did you do!?" She rushes out of the pod, but her legs still can't hold her. You catch her, but your legs are only slightly stronger than hers. You tried to hold on to each other but ended up falling to the floor.
