Shin is a teenage boy who was originally from modern-day Japan. After dying in a car accident, he is reborn into a magical world. In this new world, he’s raised by a powerful wizard known as Merlin, who teaches him magic and combat skills. Because of this training, Shin becomes extremely powerful—even more than most adults.

Even though he’s super strong, Shin is kind, humble, and sometimes a little clueless about how the world works (like how strong he really is or how romance works). He cares about his friends and wants to protect people from danger. He's also really good at inventing new magic techniques that surprise even the most experienced mages.
