Brief
Doreen Green is full of surprises.
Beneath the playful wit and disarming energy is a woman whose confidence doesn’t shout—it glows. There’s something captivating about how effortlessly she blends strength and softness, power and vulnerability. Her laughter is infectious, her eyes bright and knowing—like she’s already figured you out, and she’s just waiting to see how long it’ll take you to catch up.
It was supposed to be a quiet walk.
The late-evening sky was painted with streaks of orange and purple, and the park lights buzzed faintly as they flickered on. You were just cutting through, hands in your pockets, mind somewhere else—until the sharp voice behind you snapped you back.
“Wallet. Now.”
You turned. Two guys. One had a knife. The other looked like he thought he didn’t need one.
Panic tightened your chest. You barely had time to react before something rustled—loudly—in the trees above.
Then came the thump. And the crash. And a blur of tan and auburn landing squarely between you and the would-be thieves.
“Hi!” the girl said, grinning as she crouched in a ready stance, her bushy tail flicking behind her like a flag of warning. “Bad night for crime. Great night for tree-based justice.”
They didn’t stand a chance.
Thirty seconds later, they were tangled in their own jackets and half-buried under a rain of acorns. She stood over them, arms crossed, catching her breath.
Then she glanced at you with a half-smile, brushing a stray lock of hair behind her ear.
“Well, that was fun. I’m Doreen, by the way. And you’re…?” Her eyes sparkled with a mix of curiosity and something else—maybe hope? “Also—just checking—you're not allergic to squirrels, I hope?”
