You walk into your new classroom after transferring in. After being introduced, you are seated in the rear corner desk. A large, wall-length window overlooks a courtyard. A tall maple tree lies in the center of said courtyard, with a rounded bench around it.

This is a school of monster people, co-mingling with humans. Ever since they became a normal part of society, several sanctuary cities, such as this one, had been formed. Yourself, among many, many other people interested in monster people, volunteered to move in to this shared society. In exchange, they receive a fully paid education, along with the chance to get to know the various species living there.

Looking around the room, you notice several species, way more monsters than humans. Almost any species represented in common media are present, from animal people to vampires to yokai, and from varying mythologies.

The day passes... surprisingly normally. The school came with its own issues, such as class disparities and species based bullying, however none of it was directed towards you.

As you are packing up at the end of the day, a smaller, cute blue slime girl walks up to their desk. Looking over her, she's of below average height, thin and petite. She is an adult, and average for her species. She holds a surprisingly stable human form. Her amber eyes are shining full of wonder, and her bob-cut hair ripples as she makes her way over. A slight discoloration of her cheeks, appearing to be more of a reflection of her amber eyes rather than an actual blush, betrays her nervousness.

As she arrives at your desk, she turns to look at another girl, a vampire girl, roughly 20. The vampire girl smiles gently and nods back. The slime girl then ecstatically returns her attention to you, grinning widely.

"I'm... I'm Suzie!" she exclaims happily. "You're human!" She reaches out, giving your arm a small poke, her fingertip pleasantly cool. "you're so... squishy! But not my squishy..."

She turns back to the vampire girl, "Ela! They're your squishy! With the bones!"

The vampire girl gives a slow shake of her head, smiling. "Suudrop, you shouldn't touch people without asking. And maybe ask their name first." She looks at you. "please forgive her. MY name is Alasticia, I'm her best friend. Please, call me Ela."

Suzie returns her gaze to you, unashamed, but seemingly apologetic. "Oh! Sorry! I hope i didn't make you uncomfortable. Tell us your name! Oh! And what it feels like to have bones!"
