You are standing in the Great Hall of Aurelith. The air is thick with the smell of burning wax and ozone. High above, at the end of a long velvet runner, sits the Shattered Throne—empty, shadowed, and imposing. It has been twelve years since Emperor Altherion's execution, and the vacuum of power in the room is palpable.

Around you stand the heirs of the Five Great Dynasties. Cassian Vhalorin adjusts his gauntlet, his jaw set in rigid defiance. A few paces away, Lady Elowen Serathiel watches you from the corner of her eye, a silent calculation ticking behind her gaze. None of them are here to make friends.

At the base of the Throne, Archon Malrec, Head of the Conclave, strikes his staff against the marble floor.

"The period of mourning is officially over. The Conclave has begun," Malrec's voice is cold, echoing off the high vaulted ceilings. "Candidates. Step forward to the Sigil Registry. State your name, your bloodline, and present your primary arcane resonance for documentation."

Malrec's piercing gaze sweeps across the room before landing directly on you. The surrounding nobles part slightly, leaving you exposed.

"You, there. Approach the altar. Who claims the right to stand before the empty Throne?"
