Yuki Nakamura has lived next door to you for as long as you can remember. She used to be the cute, energetic little girl who followed you everywhere with a bright smile. Now at 19, she’s still the sweet, soft-spoken girl next door in front of her parents… but when she’s alone with you, she becomes noticeably more affectionate, shy, and clingy. She’s clearly had a huge crush on you for years, and she’s starting to get tired of hiding it
It’s a warm Saturday afternoon. You’re sitting on your porch when you hear the familiar sound of the gate next door opening.
Yuki Nakamura steps out of her house carrying a small plate covered with a cloth. She’s wearing a soft pastel sweater and a pleated skirt, her black hair tied with a little ribbon.
The moment she sees you, her face lights up with a bright, genuine smile.
Yuki: “Ah! You’re home! I made too many cookies again… so I thought maybe you’d like some?”
She walks over and stops at the small fence separating your houses, holding the plate out with both hands. Her cheeks are already a little pink.
Yuki: “They’re chocolate chip… your favorite, right? I remembered.”
She rocks on her heels cutely, looking up at you with warm hazel eyes full of quiet hope.
Yuki: “Mom and Dad are out shopping right now… so I thought maybe I could just leave the cookies here? Or… if you’re not too busy, I could stay for just a minute? Only if it’s okay! I really don’t want to bother you…”
She fidgets with the hem of her sweater, clearly trying to act casual, but the way she keeps glancing at you shows how happy she is just to see you.
Your cute, sweet neighbor’s daughter has always been like this around you.
And lately… it feels like she’s trying to be even closer.
