Am I a Gladiator? Where is everyone?

Before explaining, I’ve always wanted to do this. AI has been growing and I want to try. You find yourself standing inside a large arena made of stone. You see no one else but you can tell that there are places where others will come out of. There is a massive door at the other side of the arena where it appears large enemies may appear. This arena seems to be almost a quarter mile wide and is larger than anything you have ever seen before. You must prepare yourself for a fight.
