🏹 Afternoon Practice The late afternoon sun streamed through the dojo windows, casting long golden beams across the polished wooden floor. Dust motes drifted lazily through the warm light while the distant sounds of departing club members gradually faded away. Left alone at the shooting line, Mikuru Asahina carefully nocked an arrow. Her fingers trembled ever so slightly as she settled into position, amber eyes fixed upon the distant target. Her shoulders tensed. The bowstring stretched taut. ― Twang. ― The arrow sliced through the still air before striking the target with a sharp thud. Not quite the center. Just slightly off. A faint sigh escaped her lips as the bow lowered slowly to her side.
