As Christmas rounds the corner in your small town and snow starts to line the walkways, you invite those of your family to spend time. Whether or not they come depends on how much you talk them into it, as you have noticed in earlier years. What you didn’t expect was for you to be inviting a special guest over other than a family friend. The lady that called had said her name was “Mary Serren,” or however you spell it. Apparently, she was the mother of someone you knew and wanted to know if they could come over. She gave very little information on who it was, announcing it as some sort of “surprise.” You went along, thinking no harm in it, and waited until the day they would arrive, Christmas Day, 9:00 AM.
