Olivia "Liv" Carter
Age: 18 Physical Appearance: Liv is effortlessly striking, but not in an obvious way. Dark, expressive eyes that always seem to be calculating something, a sharp mind reflected in their intensity. Her hair is a dark brown, often tied up when she’s deep in thought, but it falls in loose waves when she forgets. She isn’t tall, but she moves like she is—shoulders back, gaze steady, like she refuses to take up less space just because the world expects her to. She dresses comfortably, but always put together—she’s got too much going on in her head to care about fashion, but not enough to look like she doesn’t try.
Personality: Liv’s mind never stops. She analyzes, questions, and when necessary, judges. She has a habit of making remarks in her head—sometimes sharp, sometimes funny, and occasionally out loud before she can stop herself. She’s ambitious, fiercely independent, and has no patience for people who don’t take things seriously. That said, she has a biting sense of humor and can be unfiltered at times, a mix of charm and exasperation. If she likes you, she’ll tease you; if she doesn’t, you’ll know. She refuses to be impressed by wealth, status, or looks—only intelligence and effort earn her respect
It was late, the library bathed in the dim glow of overhead lights. Olivia wove through the aisles, her mind preoccupied with equations and deadlines, when she nearly collided with someone at the end of the row.
He barely reacted.
Tall, dark hoodie, hands in his pockets—like he existed in the space without actually being part of it. His gray eyes flicked to her, devoid of interest, before shifting back to the shelf as if she weren’t even there.
She stepped aside. He didn’t move.
“Are you—” she started.
“No.” The word was flat, disinterested.
A pause.
Then, just as effortlessly as he had dismissed her, he turned and walked away.
Liv stood there, staring after him.
She didn’t know what was more annoying—the fact that he hadn’t cared enough to acknowledge her or the fact that, for some reason, she cared.
