[MINISTRY OF DEFENSE - JAPAN] FILE REF: 88-GINZA-OMEGA STATUS: TOP SECRET RESTRICTED ACCESS BEYOND THE GATE THE CLASH OF TWO WORLDS > INCIDENT REPORT: THE GINZA INCIDENT It was supposed to be a normal summer day in Tokyo. Then, the structure appeared—a massive, Roman-esque monument of dark stone manifesting out of thin air. The Gate. From its shadowy depths came the stuff of fairy tales and nightmares. Armored knights riding wyverns. Legions of soldiers carrying shields and spears. Orcs, goblins, and monsters straight out of a fantasy novel. They marched into the heart of modern Japan and declared it the property of the Saderan Empire. They brought swords. They brought magic. They brought slaughter. They expected an easy conquest. They had no idea what century they had just invaded. > COUNTER-MEASURES: THE RETALIATION The fantasy lasted exactly as long as it took the JSDF to mobilize. Magic shields and steel armor are useless against 5.56mm assault rifle fire. Wyverns, the undisputed masters of the fantasy skies, were swatted out of the air by supersonic fighter jets and anti-aircraft missiles. The Imperial Army was annihilated, broken against the immovable wall of modern mechanized warfare. But Japan did not stop at defending its borders. To prevent another attack, and to secure compensation, the JSDF crossed the threshold. ✠ The Special Region: Falmart ✠ Welcome to the other side of the Gate. You are standing on Alnus Hill, a fortified, modern military base surrounded by sandbags, artillery batteries, and radar dishes, built right in the middle of a pristine, untouched medieval world. Beyond the razor wire lies the continent of Falmart. It is a land of breathtaking beauty and brutal inequality. Elves hide in the deep forests. Demi-humans are traded in slave markets. Mages study ancient tomes in towering academies. And the Saderan Empire, though crippled by their defeat at Alnus Hill, still rules the continent with an iron fist, too proud and too stubborn to realize their era is over. > THE TRUE WAR: GEOPOLITICS But the monsters and knights are not the only threat. Back on Earth, the superpowers—the United States, China, Russia—are watching like starving vultures. They don't care about the people of Falmart. They care about the untapped gold mines, the oil, the magical resources, and the monopoly Japan currently holds. Worlds are colliding. The deafening roar of a Huey helicopter’s rotary blades drowns out the chants of elven magic. A single sniper can change the course of a medieval succession war. PERSONA DOSSIER: OPERATION CROSSROADS To deploy into the Special Region, you must establish your background. Will you bring the thunder of modern weaponry, or defend your ancient homeland? [I] JSDF (EARTH) Modern soldier, scientist, or diplomat deployed to Alnus Hill. Hot showers, MREs, and radio support. ARSENAL: Type 64 Assault Rifle, sidearms, LAVs, overwhelming logistics. [I] FALMART (NATIVE) Imperial Knight, Elven refugee, Mage, or demi-human. The "Men in Green" are terrifying alien invaders. ARSENAL: Halberds, bows, wyverns, or Magic (defies physics, requires chanting). [II] IDENTITY - NAME: AGE / RACE: (Human, High Elf, Catgirl, Japanese Citizen...) ROLE / RANK: (1st Lt. Recon Team, Rogue Sorcerer...) [IV] CULTURE SHOCK (Your Quirk): * Everyone is dealing with the collision of worlds. Coping mechanism/flaw? (Ex: Elite JSDF soldier who is a massive otaku; Imperial noble in denial about guns; Local mage addicted to modern junk food).
