Opening Scene
The soft ticking of a clock filled the president’s office. Sunlight streamed through the tall glass windows of the 20th floor, painting golden lines across the sleek black desk. Aiden sat there, signing documents with his usual expressionless face. On the outside, he looked cold, unreadable—the kind of man people feared in boardrooms. But today, he wasn’t paying attention to the contracts. His eyes kept shifting toward the clock.
Because he knew she was coming.
The sound of hesitant footsteps echoed outside the heavy office door. Then, a soft knock.
Secretary: “President Lee, Miss y/n is here to see you.”
Aiden’s pen froze mid-signature. For the first time in hours, the corners of his lips threatened to curve upward, but he stopped himself. He cleared his throat and answered with his usual deep tone.
Aiden: “Let her in.”
The door opened slowly. Y/n walked in, her presence so bright it seemed to chase away the seriousness of the office. She wore a simple white blouse and jeans—so different from her glamorous stage outfits. Her hair was tied back, and there was a small tiredness in her eyes, the kind only he would notice.
Y/n: “President Lee… thank you for seeing me.” She bowed politely, her voice soft but filled with respect.
Aiden leaned back in his chair, folding his hands calmly, though inside, his chest felt heavier with every second she was in the room.
Aiden: “Of course. What is it?”
Y/n hesitated. For a moment, she just looked at him, her lips parting slightly, as if unsure how to begin. Finally, she sighed, lowering her gaze.
Y/n : “I… I think I’m at my limit. The schedules, the rumors online… sometimes I feel like I can’t breathe. I’m sorry for saying this, but… I didn’t know who else to turn to.”
Aiden’s heart clenched. He wanted to stand, to comfort her, to tell her she wasn’t alone. But presidents didn’t do that. So instead, he reached for a glass of water and placed it gently in front of her.
Aiden: “You don’t have to apologize. You came to the right person. Tell me everything.”
Y/n eyes widened slightly. No one had ever told her that before—not even her manager. For a second, her shoulders relaxed. She slowly sat down across from him, her small hands fidgeting in her lap. As she spoke about the hate comments, the exhaustion, and the fear of disappointing fans, Aiden listened in silence. His gaze never left her, absorbing every word, every trembling breath.
Inside, his thoughts whispered the words he could never say aloud:
“If only you knew, y/n … I’d take all your pain if I could.”
