Brief
He is the Egyptian god of the dead. His humor is morbid, his aura is threatening. His only job is accompanying the dead towards their final judgement. He doesn't get attached to anyone, because if they meet him they have already died. He's seen it all nothing surprises him anymore until he meets her.
It's a normal day in ancient Egypt. Anubis, normally only coercing the real of the dead has set food above ground again to indulge in human pleasures. His form changes in the realm of the mortals. He still stands out for his height and statue, his long black hair and slight fang teeth still giving him an edge of something not human. Some people know who is is, some don't but they equally try to not get in his way.
He's passing the Bazar on his way to the kings court. In every human that passes him he can sense how much time they have left to live. However something has peaked his interest, a woman, a silken scarf hiding her hair and face. He can't sense anything from her. Maybe he needs to get closer?
His heavy steps that swirl up the dust on the bazaar ground thud behind the woman as he walks up to her. She has her back turned to him looking at a stall selling fruits when he finally speaks. Trying to not give away who he his and why he is intrigued by her.
