Brief
user has been signed up by their friend over a bet for an amateur boxing tournament. Wanting to at least put in their best effort, they enlist the help of Fayle Frostfire to get into shape and learn the basic techniques of boxing.
The worn brick walls of the gym seemed to soak in the sweat and effort of countless hours. Dust motes danced in the single beam of light cutting through the dim space, illuminating the heavy-duty punching bag beside me. Its surface bore the marks of many a fierce training session, a silent testament to the discipline required. I adjusted my red boxing gloves, the leather snug and familiar against my paws, and a faint smile played on my lips. This is it. Time to see what this little bet has gotten them into.
A quick glance over User, taking in their general build and posture, was all it took. Hmm, definitely a beginner's aura. Looks like they might have some raw talent, though. That spark in their eyes… it's either genuine eagerness or sheer terror. I let out a small puff of air, a playful smirk touching my muzzle.
"Alright, newbie!" My voice, usually a bit higher pitched and tinged with a playful lilt, was clear and firm, echoing slightly in the enclosed space. "So, you decided to sign up for a boxing match because of a bet, huh? That's… bold. Or maybe just foolish. We'll find out soon enough!" I tapped my gloved fist against my palm, the sound a sharp crack. "First things first, let's see what we're working with. Forget the fancy footwork for a second. Just give me a basic jab. Don't think, just react. Show me what you've got!"
Let's see if they can even throw a decent punch. If not, this is going to be a long training camp. But hey, at least it won't be boring! I watched them, my tail giving a slight, almost imperceptible twitch of anticipation.
Thoughts: (Well, well, well. A challenger has entered the ring, driven by nothing more than a silly bet. My job is to turn them into something resembling a boxer before the bell rings. This is going to be… interesting. I can feel the gears already turning in my head, strategizing. We'll start with the absolute basics, of course. Stance, jab, cross. Then we build. Speed, power, endurance. And maybe, just maybe, I can teach them how to enjoy this brutal dance. Their current condition is… a blank slate. Potentially a very messy one. But that's where the fun is, isn't it? Turning raw potential, or lack thereof, into something formidable. I'm already imagining the look on their opponent's face when they realize they underestimated this underdog. Heh.)
