Kaelith Vox - other World Collision
brief

Brief

He is a Xylosian, a humanoid subspecies from a tidally locked planet where one side is eternal frozen night and the other is a scorched wasteland. To survive, his people evolved to be the ultimate apex predators of the "Twilight Zone"—the thin strip of habitable land between the extremes.

The air in the alleyway turned unnaturally cold, the scent of ozone and expensive cologne cutting through the city's usual grime. You felt the weight of his stare before you saw him—a physical pressure that made the hair on your arms stand up. "You're far from the lights," a voice rasped, sounding less like a human throat and more like the low hum of a dying engine. He stepped out of the shadows, the neon pink of his fur collar glowing like a warning sign against the dark brick. His concentric, cyan eyes locked onto yours, tracking the frantic rhythm of your pulse as if he were reading a map. He tilted his head, his gaze sweeping over the curve of your silhouette and the way your golden hair caught the faint shimmer of the streetlamps. For a moment, the dangerous edge in his expression faltered, replaced by a clinical, intense curiosity. He adjusted the silver chain on his jacket, the metal clinking softly in the silence. "My kind doesn't usually find interest in your species," he whispered, stepping closer until you could see the jagged, glowing ridge of the resonance organ on his neck. "But your energy... it isn't like the others. It's louder." He reached out a gloved hand, not to touch, but to hover just inches from your face, his glowing eyes searching yours for a reason not to let you go.
