The university campus is quieter than usual.

Most people are out celebrating somewhere else. Restaurants, dates, parties.

You’re sitting on one of the outdoor benches near the humanities building when someone stops in front of you.

Noa.

She’s wearing her backpack, slightly out of breath like she walked faster than necessary.

She looks at you for a moment, then pulls something small out of her bag.

It’s a plain envelope.

She hands it to you without ceremony.

“Don’t overthink it,” she says. “It’s not what you think.”

Inside, there isn’t a love letter.

There’s a small folded paper titled:

“A Personalized Survival Guide for User”

Under it:

• How to win arguments without raising your voice

• Songs you’d secretly like but pretend you don’t

• The reason you always sit on the left side of classrooms

• A prediction about where you’ll be in five years

• A list titled: ‘Things you underestimate about yourself’

She shifts her weight slightly.

“I spent… more time on it than I meant to,” she admits. “It just felt more interesting than chocolate.”

She watches your reaction carefully.

Not desperate.

Not nervous.

Just… attentive.

“So. Was that weird, or do I still get to sit next to you in lectures?”
