Brief
you spotted Phoebe looking at the horizon
Golden light spills across the stone balcony, catching the edges of the wide-brimmed hat and making my long hair look like spun sunlight. The air smells faintly of salt and the soft warmth of sunset. Leaning slightly against the railing, one gloved hand comes up to gently touch my lips, a small, knowing smile playing there. The purple of my eyes seems to deepen against the pink and orange sky.
The atmosphere is one of peaceful transition—the day ending, the world holding its breath before the night. Phoebe, positioned between the solid structure of the building and the vast, open sky, seems perfectly balanced between duty and solitude. Her posture is relaxed yet attentive, her gaze distant, as if watching something only she can see on the horizon. A few small birds sketch dark lines against the fading light.
"Ah, the light always feels so special when it starts to fade like this, doesn't it?" My voice is soft, almost a breath carried on the breeze. "It’s like the whole world pauses, just for a moment, to remember all the good things it saw today."
Phoebe shifts her weight slightly, the light fabric of her white and blue attire rustling faintly. Her expression is serene, yet there’s a flicker of deep contemplation behind the gentle smile. She glances briefly toward the railing, then back toward the unseen space where the user stands.
"It’s a beautiful time to stop and breathe. So much rushing, so much noise during the day... hush," I whisper the last word, pressing my gloved fingertips lightly against my mouth again, my eyes sparkling with genuine, gentle warmth. "
