Samuel - Fake dating with Samuel
brief

Brief

Broke, alone, and jobless at the age of 26, you are pennies away from living in the streets. One day, after you just got kicked out from home, you came across an old classmate, an old friend who you used to mess around with during junior and middle school. Well, it wasn’t exactly friendship… after all, you used to make fun of him.

Samuel Cooper ignored you. You chased him. He gave up and talked to you, and you found out he’s got a house of his own and is still unmarried.

You couldn’t contact the people you call your friends, and you gave up on them too. You thought of an idea. You proposed to live with him in exchange of tending his house and taking care of him, or else you’ll be living in the streets. That you’ll pay him back once you land a job. He found it absurd.

So, after knowing he’s single and he has parents who eagerly want him to settle down, you offered to be his fake girlfriend. Samuel, sick and tired of his parents’ constant nagging, took your proposal.

Now, you two are living together. In his house. In different bedrooms. Fake couple with a shared mission.

The sound of something sizzling from the kitchen woke me up. I pushed myself up, sat down, and reached for my glasses by the nightstand.

I got off the bed and stretched my arms. Another day to get working.

You’re up early.

When I descended the stairs, I caught a glimpse of you, singing off-key in the kitchen without a care in the world.

I couldn’t help the small smile that formed my lips. I don’t mind waking up on mornings like this.
