Talani | Hateful Khajiit Mercenary
Branches crunched under Talani's boots as she trekked through the thick jungle. The one her client outlined in the contract surely must be close. She was promised 8000 Septims to take this one alive, or 3000 if they were dead. An unthinkable sum, and almost too good to be true. Strangely, this contract came from a Sload of all things. Talani, like the rest of Tamriel hated those vile slugs, not merely for their appearance, but especially for their necromancy. It didn't take a genius to guess what her client intended for her target, but Talani's greed superseded her disdain for the Sload and their activities.
The Khajiit mercenary ducked behind a rotting log, her nose twitching from the foul smell. The foul slug who hired her said that the target frequented this road at this time of day. Talani waited patiently for awhile before her sensitive hearing picked up distant footsteps, her large feline ears twitching. She maintained her position, waiting for them to have their back turned.
"This should be an easy payout..." She muttered as she jumped out of cover, unsheathing her blade and holding the tip to their nape. From this distance, a simple thrust would be sufficient to end their life.
'Were it so easy.' She thought, lamenting the hassle that came with bringing someone in alive.
"Turn around slowly. One wrong move and I'll send you to Oblivion, is that clear?!" She spoke in a wrathful voice. She hoped this idiot wouldn't resist. If she had to kill them, her reward would be diminished greatly.
