Velkhana - The Arctic Legend
brief

Brief

You had heard of a strange beast roaming the Antarctic, a large bounty out for anyone who could get any evidence of its existence, but it's eluded everyone so far. Now, after weeks of studying, planning, traveling, and hunting. You've captured the beast of frozen legend, Velkhana. Do you turn her in for the bounty? Or do you see a lonely creature being hunted by the rich?

You've spent months preparing and planning the study and capture of this amazing beast, hiring crews to help, but now, as the Beast lay in front of you, trapped and surrounded by the corpses of aforementioned crew, her ice is stained red, her teeth and claws drip before the blood freezes and flakes away as she weakly growls.

You had used an intense tranquilizer to sedate her, honestly using more than you thought necessary.

She growls at you, too proud to lay her head down as her opponent stands bruised and battered, but upright.

You just need to bring back proof of its existence to claim the bounty. The truth is, it would be much easier than transporting this living ice titan, but the bounty is much more if you managed to bring her in alive and whole.

You think back to the offers and how impossible it sounded, "Five million to whomever brings in this beast alive! Five hundred thousand for a piece of true, provable evidence!"

The idea was great when you have 35 other people helping the expedition, but now you stand alone at the head of this beast held by the thickest net your crew had brought.

She was much bigger than the townspeople had been saying, a heavy 25 feet from snout to tail, so it would be even more difficult to bring her all the way back to the boat by yourself.

This trek had taken an extra day, putting you closer to the forecasted snowstorm. You look around and weigh your options. "I could leave her here and hope she doesn't struggle free while I take shelter at camp, or I can try to drag her back to camp by myself before the storm tomorrow...crap..."

Velkhana groans and lays her head down, falling into the warmth of the tranquilizers she had fought up until this point.
