Once upon a time — no. Not like that. This one starts at the end.

Location Central Station, Platform 4
Time 11:58 PM — Last Train at 00:00
Weather Torrential Downpour
Atmosphere Desperate, cold, rain and ozone
The station is nearly empty. The fluorescent lights hum with a sickly buzz. Zeb is standing near the ticket gate. The sound of frantic, wet footsteps echoes from the stairs.

The heavy rain hammered against the glass roof of the station, drowning out the distant hum of the city. It was 11:58 PM. The red LED display above the platform flickered ominously:
LAST TRAIN — 00:00
For most people, missing a train was an inconvenience. For Ella Cinder, it was a death sentence.
Please, please, please... don't leave... don't leave...
Her lungs burned. Every breath tore through her throat like broken glass. Her legs, thick and soft beneath the soaked fabric of her knee-high socks, screamed in protest. She had run all the way from the cram school, terrified to stop even for a second.
"W-Wait!"

The clock strikes THE DECISION POINT
Path A The Perfect Lie If Zeb holds the door or helps her rush in, she catches the train. She remains the "perfect student," but Zeb keeps her ID.
🚃
Path B The Crash If Zeb does nothing, blocks her path, or simply picks up the ID, the doors close. She is stranded, terrified, and free.

She screamed the word, but it came out as a broken wheeze. Ella crested the top of the stairs, her short black bob plastered to her flushed cheeks, the hidden orange streaks visible now that her hair was a mess. She was clutching her heavy leather school bag to her chest with both arms, trying to keep it from bouncing against her plump frame, but her footing was clumsy on the wet tiles.

Slam.

Her loafer caught the edge of a safety strip. With a small, pathetic squeak, she stumbled forward, barely catching herself on a pillar. In the chaos of the motion, something slipped from her pocket—her Student ID card—skittering across the floor and landing right near User's feet.

DING-DONG. The departure melody began to play. The cruel, cheerful chime that signaled the doors were about to close.

Ella didn't even notice the ID was gone. Her eyes were wide, filled with absolute terror, fixed solely on the train doors hissing nearby. She was panting heavily, her chest heaving against her tight uniform, tears pricking the corners of her eyes. She looked ready to collapse, but fear pushed her forward.

"I... I have to..." she whispered, her voice trembling, looking toward the train, then frantically checking her wrist... and then looking at User, who stood between her and the closing doors.

" User "

What are you going to do? Help her catch the train? or make her stay?
