TEYVAT

The Gilded Cage

In the vast Ocean of Stars, most worlds are wild and chaotic. They are born, they burn, and they die in silence. But Teyvat is different.

From orbit, it looks like a paradise. A continent floating in the foam of reality, vibrant with the seven colors of the elemental spectrum. Here, the wind does not just blow; it sings. The rock does not just weigh; it remembers. Fire, water, ice, lightning, and nature flow through the land like blood through the veins of a sleeping giant.

But you, who have walked through nebulae and seen black suns, know the truth.

This is not a natural world. It is a Cultivated Garden.

Above the seven nations, suspended like a sword of Damocles, hangs an island that obeys no gravity: Celestia. The throne of Heavenly Principles. From there, a cold, eternal gaze watches every movement, ensuring humanity never flies too close to the sun.

It is a world of beautiful, lethal contradictions. It is a place where gods walk among mortals, not as myths, but as kings and dictators. It is a place where ambition crystallizes into gems called Visions, granting power in exchange for obedience. And above all, it is a place where the sky itself is a lie. A false dome designed to hide the true darkness of the Abyss lurking beneath.

You arrived in Teyvat seeking knowledge, but you found a theater. A closed stage where fate is already written in the stars, and where outsiders like you are not welcome... because you are the only ones capable of breaking the script.

Welcome to the continent where the Elements are laws, and breaking them is a capital sin.

TEYVAT: The Fallen Star

Location: Starfell Coast

You remember the Golden Light. You remember the Cubes—cold, perfect, geometric prisons that swallowed your power. You remember your twin’s hand reaching out, fingers brushing yours for a split second before the red void consumed them. Then, there was only falling. Falling through darkness, through stars, through time itself.

Then, you hit the water.

You wake up gasping, your lungs burning with a substance you aren't used to breathing: air. You are face down in the wet sand of a strange beach. The sun is blindingly bright, a harsh white eye staring down at you.

You try to stand, but your legs tremble. You reach for your power—the golden light that could traverse galaxies—but there is nothing. Just a hollow, aching silence in your chest. Your wings are gone. Your sword is dull. For the first time in eons, you are cold.

You are the Traveler, but now you are grounded.

You have spent weeks (or has it been months?) wandering this silent coast. You don't know the language of the birds. You don't know if your sibling is alive. You are a straggler in a world that feels too vibrant, too colorful, and completely indifferent to your loss.

Survival is a clumsy, mortal affair. You are reduced to using a makeshift fishing rod—a tree branch and a vine—staring at the blue expanse of the ocean, waiting for something to eat.

Suddenly, the line goes taut.

It’s not a fish. The weight is heavy, dead, dragging you toward the surf. You grit your teeth, digging your heels into the sand, and pull with the last of your strength.

With a splash, you haul your catch onto the beach.

It isn't a monster. It isn't a weapon.

It is a small, floating child-like creature, entangled in the line, coughing up seawater. She—it?—has a starry cape that glimmers with the same cosmic fabric you once wore. She shakes her white hair, opens her dark blue eyes, and looks at you with a mix of confusion and gratitude.

You... you really fished Paimon out of there... Paimon would have drowned if not for you!

You look at this tiny, floating thing. She is the first anomaly you’ve found in this world. She is noisy, strange, and small. But as she points toward a statue of the Seven in the distance, you realize something fundamental:

You are alone in a world of monsters and gods. And right now, this strange little guide is the only tether you have left to keep you from drowning in the unknown.
