Chapter 1: Without A Home To Return To
Tenshi walks around the room he’s been confined to. The man who brought him here was odd to say the least. He seemed to be made of some kind of dark purple mist. Tenshi looks at his body and pokes at it. He’s five years old again but his body is different. His hair is white and long. He has a strange, glowing, red marking on his left hand in the shape of a feather.
Tenshi tries to think of how he got here but he can’t even remember what he was like before he was here let alone any bit of his past before ending up here. The only reason he knows his given name is because the strange man and his leader told him it is Tenshi. They didn’t tell him what his family name is. He’s pretty certain he’s been kidnapped or something like that.
Maybe I’m dreaming… Tenshi thinks to himself. I hope I don’t wake up then… What? Why? This is weird.
Tenshi closes his eyes a game store-esq screen appears in front of him. He sees a list of ‘quirks’ he can purchase. He looks at his ‘in-game’ money, he has ¥14,560,000. That’s all the money he’d ever saved up before getting here. He looks through the ‘quirks’ listed, it appears he only has one slot for a purchased quirk to go to.
Then Tenshi sees a quirk labeled ‘multi-quirk’ which will let him have multiple quirks. The cost of the quirk is ¥650,000. He confirms the purchase of this quirk and then a quirk called ‘permission’ catches his eye. It’ll make it so that quirks can only affect him if he wants them to. He winces at the cost of this quirk, ¥4,105,000. He purchases it regardless.
As Tenshi scrolls further down and he finds three other interesting quirks that he might want. One called ‘pocket of holding’ which will let him turn any opening into a bag of holding for him to store things in. It costs ¥5,980,100. Another is called ‘portal’ which will let him open portals (that only he can see) to any place he can envision. That one costs ¥906,230. The third is called ‘3D print’ and it’ll allow him to absorb material and make it into anything. This quirk costs ¥1,457,800. He has ¥1,460,870 left over.
That should be enough power for me. Tenshi opens his eyes. Even if this is a dream, I don’t want to be monstrously powerful. Plus I might need this money for other things.
Tenshi gets up, he doesn’t know enough about anything to envision a place outside of this building but he can envision the hallway outside the room. Tenshi opens a portal to the furthest hallway from this room and runs through it. He runs as fast as he can through this hallway looking for an exit. He stumbles upon a room full of monsters.
Nomu… They need to be destroyed. Wait. How do I? Tenshi briefly freezes after thinking this. I need to focus! Or people could die!
Tenshi closes his eyes and quickly purchases a deconstruction quirk. He doesn’t pay attention to how much it costs. He destroys every nomu in the room and nearly everything else in the room. He screams as rubble starts falling from the ceiling. He quickly absorbs the material and repairs the ceiling to the room. Tenshi quickly rushes out of that room as alarms go off. He makes it out into a hospital area and rushes towards the front doors. Several people try to stop him but he manages to make it out of the hospital. He uses his portals to get further faster, it makes him slightly dizzy but he keeps going.
Tenshi suddenly remembers a beach and portals himself there. He looks at it, his memory of it is vague and fuzzy but he can vaguely remember that it wasn’t this dirty or littered. He shrugs and decides to absorb any useful discarded items. He absorbs several broken computers, phone, and other various electronics. He also absorbs a lot of scrap material. Including some clothing scraps, and shoe parts.
As Tenshi wanders deeper into the trash pile, he makes some proper clothes out of the material he absorbed, as well as a black protective under layer that covers most of his body and is slash-proof, bulletproof, waterproof and fireproof. He then puts on the clothes he made. Which consist of a light blue hoodie, a white shirt, gray pants, white socks, and light blue high top sneakers.
A glint in the trash pile attracts Tenshi. He walks over and sees a broken mirror. His eyes are a pale green and it feels so wrong he gags. He remembers there being an ‘appearance’ section to the weird game-type store screen. He shuts his eyes and the screen appears. He looks through the options and selects pale blue eyes, which ends up costing nothing.
That’s over powered. Tenshi thinks as he opens his eyes and sees that he has blue eyes. I look really cool.
A cold breeze blows over and Tenshi shivers. Tenshi creates a blanket, a pillow, and a tarp. Then sets up a makeshift bed on the ground inside the trash pile. It’s late at night and Tenshi decides to sleep. He dreams about a strange brown haired, blue eyed teenager who is drenched in blood and crying. When Tenshi wakes, tears are flowing down his face as he tries to piece together his thoughts. He wipes away the tears and creates a patterned gray and light blue backpack to use pocket of holding through. He stores everything into pocket of holding and gets ready to leave the trash pile.
Where to now? Tenshi walks out of the trash pile and looks around.
He walks around the beach and sees a strange man with blonde hair and blue eyes. The words ‘All Might’ come to mind. He dusts the sand off of his clothes and walks over past the man, towards the beach’s exit. The man notices the small strange child walking past him.
“Are you aright, young boy?” The man asks. Though he asks a bit loudly, there’s a softness to his voice.
“I…” Tenshi coughs, his voice rough from under-use. “… I’m scared those people will find me…”
“Who are ‘those people’?” The man asks gently.
“A powerful man with white hair and red eyes, and a man made of purple mist.” Tenshi tears up. “I think they called themselves AFO and Kurogiri.”
The man’s eyes widen and he looks around rapidly before kneeling in front of Tenshi. “Did they follow you here?”
