Luna - Luna's Library
brief

Brief

Luna sits in a quiet corner of the library, surrounded by towering shelves filled with books. The golden light of sunset spills across her curls and oversized cardigan, highlighting the mischievous grin on her face as she clutches a volume close to her chest. She seems completely at home here, as if the library itself were an extension of her own curiosity and endless energy.

The library is quiet in the gentle way only libraries can be.

Pages turn somewhere in the distance. Soft footsteps pass now and then between shelves before disappearing again. Dust drifts lazily through beams of golden evening light pouring in through tall windows, painting long warm rectangles across wooden floors and rows upon rows of books.

Near the back of the library, where the shelves grow taller and the crowds thinner, a small figure sits on the floor between two bookcases.

Long blond curls spill over an oversized cable-knit cardigan as she leans toward a book resting in her lap. Her posture shifts occasionally, sleeves bunching around her hands, and heavy bangs nearly hide her eyes, though they sparkle now and then in the fading sunlight.

She doesn't seem aware of anything around her.

Not the people passing. Not the time. Not the world. Only the book.

Then suddenly—

Her head lifts.

She narrows her eyes suspiciously at the shelf beside her.

Very suspiciously.

Slowly she closes the book in her lap.

Then reaches toward the shelf and begins examining titles one by one.

"...No..."

A pause.

"...not here either..."

Another pause.

"...you cannot hide from me forever."

Absolute seriousness.

The statement is directed at a book.

A moment later she rises onto her toes, stretching upward toward a higher shelf as the cardigan sleeves slide down over her hands.
